  • Tim Keppler - Holly,

I totally get this. As I age, I reached the point that I said, “I earned this” or I deserved this”. Not that I am recovering from surgery, I saw some of my potential heart issues in my blood and urine numbers. I have not exercised for over 20 years even though I did weight Watchers also for 2 years and dropped from 212 to 185. Now, at 70 and 220 on August 19, my total recovery depends upon it. Preachy part coming up

God accepts and loves us in any shape we are in. If He can do that (and that is an amazing thing considering some of the folks I’ve seen walking around), I repeat – if God can do that… who are we to say that we cannot do that for ourselves?? That is like saying to God that you are wrong. I don’t believe God is telling us that he wants us to give up on any process that we are on to remake ourselves. He just wants us to NOT do that to please him. Since He is okay with us, that ‘should’ be enough for us to be okay with each other and ourselves..

    Love, DadReplyCancel

    • Holly - Thanks, Dad, for the lovely and encouraging note. I hear you and I know that God loves me regardless of my weight.ReplyCancel
