Today Anna turned 16 years old. It was a bittersweet day as it is for most families with a child who has an intellectual disability. No car with a big giant bow for us. Nope, but Anna doesn’t care. She does want to learn to drive but she was happy getting a few trinkets from Zootopia, her current favorite movie, featuring Nick Wilde the Fox, her current favorite obsession.
School Birthday Serenade
Curtis and I took cupcakes to her class at the end of the day and everyone sang Happy Birthday to her. It made her smile from the inside out! Complete with chocolate cupcake and blue frosting, lol.

Favorite Present
She was yelling “Spot!!!” Dominic gave her a Disney Infinity figure Spot from The Good Dinosaur. Anna’s been watching a particular YouTube video where Nick the Fox from Zootopia plays with Spot from The Good Dinosaur so she’s been wanting Spot for several weeks now. Score Dominic! She also got Nick and Judy talking plush dolls, a Zootopia book, a gorgeous arrangement of flowers from Grandma Judy, and some beautiful new spring shirts from Nana.
