Soaking Up the Sun
This week’s prompt is “Backlight” for the Instagram project #portraitsofme. We haven’t had many sunny days this week, so I took advantage of natural backlight one sunny afternoon earlier this week. It’s a good thing I did because it’s been raining all day today. The weather has been unusually warm for late February and early March and I can just taste spring in the air. The rose bush is budding and beginning to bloom and some of the trees are beginning to get their leaves. Spring is my favorite season. It’s a time of renewal for me, for purging closets and cleaning out clutter, for renewing my commitment to healthy eating and exercise. Sitting in the sunshine a few days ago, soaking up the sun, reminded me that this special time of year is right around the corner.
