We’ve had a spot of unseasonably warm weather this week in Central Texas… it’s been in the mid-80s. When Anna got home from school on Tuesday, I decided to take my macro out in hopes of finding some insects or wildlife (no luck). She didn’t want to join me right away, but after Dominic got home and came outside with the bubbles, we ended up with the whole family out in the backyard. It was so much fun. We blew bubbles and threw the ball for the dogs to chase. It was glorious. Dominic declared that we have to do this every day after school and he created an actual schedule to include family fun time. I love him so much.
Bubble Fun
Dominic was the one who brought the bubbles outside and got the whole family playing together. He had a tough spot yesterday writing a paper that was so concerning, the school counselor called me to come pick him up right away. But he assures us that he’s doing better.
By the way, Gazillion makes the best bubble juice ever. It’s amazing. It makes giant bubbles that last a long time and the liquid even smells good!

Woooooow
Dominic wasn’t having much luck getting any big bubbles to appear so Curtis came out to show off his bubble prowess. I wasn’t even trying to get Dominic in the frame, I was concentrating on Curtis and trying to focus on one bubble (which is incredibly hard to do). When I downloaded my 100+ images from our bubble play, I saw this one and just fell in love with Dominic’s expression.

Floating Perfection
I got one! Curtis created it (or was it my mom?) and it floated right toward me. I wish the light and background had been a little prettier, but the bubble itself is so big and perfect, I didn’t care.

Finding the Light
Even bubbles seek beautiful light, it’s not just photographers. 😉

Go make some time for deliberate family fun. Do it! Then let me know what you did. Thanks for looking!
