Woven Sunshine

Got my surgery scheduled… my total thyroidectomy will be done on Thursday, September 3rd. Chances are that the left nodule is benign like the right one, but living with this uncertainty all summer has taken its toll. It will be good to know. For those that missed my earlier post, I had a biopsy that resulted in a diagnosis of follicular neoplasm with Hurthle cell changes, which could be benign or could be Hurthle cell carcinoma, a type of thyroid cancer.

A little macro therapy is always good for the soul. This gorgeous, large, female, argiope orb weaver spider made a web in our backyard near the bird feeder. The sunshine gently illuminates the beautiful golden spiral of her home.
