As I go through the days and weeks of this year, I shoot and shoot and shoot. Participating in Project52 and being so passionate about photography means that I have my camera with me all the time and that I often have more than one favorite shot every week. Plus Curtis and I have been doing weekly photo walks. I’ve been intending to post extra photos as I go but just never seem to find the time. Well I am going to post at least a few today! So prepare for randomness! 🙂
Charlie is almost two years old already. He has such a great personality. He loves to romp with Rocky but Rocky is getting to be an old man and doesn’t enjoy it as much as he used to. Charlie loves to fetch… he is happiest chasing anything down the hallway and bringing it back. He loves to ride in the car and stick his head out the window. He loves to cuddle and especially loves having his tummy and rear end scratched. He finds ways to escape the dog yard and goes for a run. He pushes his head into you for hugs. He has human expressions, I swear.
Look at that one eye just peeking out from under all that curly hair. See it?
Looking to the side… what’s over there, Charlie?
I had already taken at least 20 photos when I got this snap and it seems like he is saying, “Enough with the pictures already!”
Late Sunday we took the kids for a short drive to just get out of the house. We didn’t do a real photo walk this weekend… Dominic wasn’t feeling well. We ended up at Mt. Bonnell which has gorgeous views of the Colorado River.
Dominic posed for me too… but it was the wrong time of day and it was windy… but he’s so cute that I love it anyway.
After we finished there, we went to County Line for dinner. They have amazing barbeque, homemade bread, and a spot right on the river.
This is the view from the back of the restaurant. Nice, huh?
Jenny and Dominic sat next to each other right by the big picture window. The light was beautiful and I had to grab a shot of them even though I had my 85mm lens on and had no room to back up.
And one of Jenny… I love her freckles!
On the way home, we drove by the kids’ school and I impulsively pulled in to check out the bluebonnets. I’m so mad at myself that I didn’t get any photos of the kids in the flowers this year but the flowers were not as lush as usual. Unfortunately, the bluebonnets are mostly wilted already and it was super windy. Here Dominic was looking up at Jenny who was wrestling with the reflector. Bluebonnets 2011 = fail.
