This week’s theme for the Flickr Macro Mondays group is “Celebration.” From this week’s instructions (via Moderator Cartale):
The Theme this week is celebration
A celebration is something usually done to mark a special day, event, or holiday. It could be a birthday, a religious holiday, or even the anniversary of a famous battle. We also use the expression celebrate for festive and happy occasions.
We want to see a macro of anything related to celebration. Examples of subjects could be cakes, drinks, gifts, a specific food dish, decorations, lights just to name a few.
We would appreciate it if you could tell us the choice of occasion your macro represents. Not only for the moderation to be smoother but for us all to be part of those special moments and events.

Quilled Angel
Yesterday was my daughter’s 29th birthday. Curtis, Anna, Dominic, my mom, and myself drove up to Georgetown to celebrate with Jenny and her boyfriend, Wyatt. I’ve always called Jenny “My Little Angel on Earth” so my mom made a tiny quilled angel to adorn one of her gifts. Mom even purchased special quilling paper that was white with a gold gilded edge with which to make the angel. Jenny is going to save it and use the angel as an ornament on her Christmas tree.
Happy Birthday, Angel!!!
(I know the image would be stronger if the entire angel were in focus but I wanted to shoot at an angle to get the gilded edge of the paper and I didn’t have my tripod with me, so I couldn’t focus stack while holding the ornament.)
Thanks for looking!
