Macro Mondays: Windowsill

This week’s theme for the Flickr Macro Mondays group is “Windowsill.” From this week’s instructions (via Moderator Steve Crawford):

As nearly all of us remain in mandatory, recommended or self-imposed shelter-in-place we offer another “indoor” theme inspired by time spent staring out the window.

This week, take advantage of some window-light and photograph an object sitting on your windowsill. This can be something like a crystal, herb, toy, or tchotchke that has found a home on your windowsill or an object you place there. The possibilities are endless as long as you adhere to the 75mm/3″ maximum size and other Macro Mondays rules.

Sweetness of Being a Senior

We have the most amazing community here in New Braunfels. A local mom who has a graduating senior felt badly that this graduating class wouldn’t be getting to experience of their milestone events such as prom, senior skip day, and graduation… not to mention sporting events, parties, and celebrations. She started the Adopt a 2020 Class Senior Facebook group and within one week, we have nearly 1000 graduating seniors adopted by other families. Anna was adopted by half a dozen or so families and has already received three deliveries. She got a balloon and chocolate-covered strawberries from Ms. Casey, a sunny basket of goodies from the Horak Family, and a big bag of her favorite snacks from the Ivy Family. I thought that spotlighting Anna’s favorite treat of all time (Mini Reese’s Cups courtesy of the Ivy Family) by setting them on my favorite windowsill in the house with the prettiest light would be a great way to participate in this week’s Macro Mondays Windowsill theme.
