This week’s theme for the Flickr Macro Monday group is “Circles.” From this week’s instructions (from Alan Rust):
This week simply photograph something that is round or circular, single or multiple items. Tag your photos with “Macro Mondays” and this week’s theme: “Circles” or alternatively you may use #MacroMondays and #Circles.
Sequin Slippers
Dominic had a friend who was celebrating a birthday on Saturday. On the way to drop him off for the party, I had to stop at GameStop and the Hallmark store to get a gift card and birthday card. While at the Hallmark store, I spied these ruby red sequin slippers, a la The Wizard of Oz. I had to have them. I’m not normally an impulse buyer, but these were the cutest things I’ve ever seen. I love bling (if you hadn’t noticed, ha!) and I love comfort… combine bright red sequins with the softest fleece ever and well… Holly now looks like Dorothy every night in her jammies. 🙂 Perfect for the Macro Mondays circle theme and cute to boot. Though I got two photos I loved, this one with the bow on top and bit of flare won for the submission.

It’s a Circle Thing
I’m a sucker for beautiful bokeh. Combining circles with sequins and ruby red color and pretty light gave me a more abstract picture of my new ruby red sequin slippers featuring the most beautiful circular bokeh. I thought my other image was a bit stronger, so this was my backup but still worthy of sharing on my blog.
