This week’s theme for the Flickr Macro Monday group is “Bread.” From this week’s instructions (from Janet Towbin):
This is a theme that was originally posted by Ronald in 2015. I thought the images from our membership were amazingly diverse and enticing. I’ve decided it is time for another slice of this delicious, aromatic and textural subject matter.
Here is part of the description Ronald gave in 2015: “Bread is known to almost all cultures and peoples, yet it varies greatly around the world. Made from wheat, corn, rye or any other grain for that matter, it was first made (by chance) a respectable 30,000 years ago. For this theme go for color and texture of bread, so please no complete hamburgers or sandwiches. Toppings are allowed but focus on the bread part. If the word bread also has alternative meanings in your language, surprise us but please explain in title or description.”
Toasted Asiago
We have a new HEB Plus store that opened in our area just last summer. Their bakery is quite good and one of our favorite indulgences is buying a loaf of their homemade bread. Asiago bread is my weakness (as are asiago bagels)… I just love toasting a slice, smearing real butter all over it, and tasting that melted cheesy goodness. Yum!
