This week’s theme for the Flickr Macro Monday group is “Texture.” From this week’s instructions:
This week’s theme has been done many times in the past but it was one that was suggested by group member Oudjat45 for our Member’s Choice themes. It seems like everyone voted for it–so it must truly be a group favorite worthy of revisiting!
I don’t think we need a description of what is meant by “Texture” but I will tell you the best texture photos are the ones where you have no idea what you are looking at and yet you can actually FEEL the texture with your EYES. Yes, you read that right–“feel the texture with your eyes.”
The Texture of Travel
Dominic is away at camp. Anna is away at camp. So for the first time in our marriage, Curtis and I are taking a real vacation to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. In just a couple of hours, we will be on a plane to Rome, Italy!!! We have ten whole days to explore Italy and we are so stinking excited!!! When I hold this passport in my hands and I run my fingers over the heavy linen feel of the cover, I get an anticipatory tummy tickle for our upcoming adventure. A special thank you to my mom (and various friends and family that are popping in and out!) for holding down the fort and taking care of all of the animals. She will be picking up Anna from camp Friday and caring for her for another week without us… my mom is so loving and generous. Smooches!!!!!!!
