Last week was a whirlwind of activities!
High Honors
Dominic was honored by Duke TIP for his high score on the SAT which got him accepted into the Summer Studies program. He will be attending Trinity University from July 3rd-29th, living in the dorms and taking a college level psychology class. We are so incredibly proud of him!!!

Orlando Bound
Curtis had to attend the annual Sapphire Conference last week (and he missed Dominic’s ceremony, wah). Curtis has talked many times about how beautiful the resort is where he stays and wished I could come. Mom and I talked and she agreed to help get the kids to school on Thursday and there was no school on Friday, so I flew into Orlando Thursday morning. My flight left at 5:05 a.m., which meant leaving my house at 3:15 which meant getting up at 2:00. Ouch. The sunrise was pretty gorgeous through the plane window, so it was worth it.

Our Resort
When I first arrived, Curtis met me at the airport and we rented a car to drive back to the resort. I changed clothes, freshened up, then we headed over to the conference. It was fun getting a glimpse into his work world, walking around all the booths, and meeting his work colleagues. By the time the final dinner and concert rolled around, I was so tired and Curtis was still battling a nasty chest cold. So we skipped hearing Muse in concert, grabbed a bite to eat, then went back to the resort. The next day we were both beat so we just drove around Orlando a while, then spent the evening at the resort. Isn’t it beautiful? We stayed at the Marriott Grande Vista.

Vacation Mode
Being in love with your husband makes every moment special. It didn’t matter that we didn’t go to any theme parks or tourist spots. Just hanging out at the resort and walking around was terribly romantic. <3 Thanks to my mom for allowing us to getaway!
