The Waves of Cabbage

As part of my 2017 project work, I’m going to take part of the Flickr Macro Monday group which posts macro images following weekly themes. This week’s theme is “Inspired by a Song.” My image this week is inspired by Mr. Probz ~ Waves by Robin Schulz:

I had seen an inside slice of an entire red cabbage somewhere recently (Reddit maybe?), and found it to be a surprising glimpse. I thought the undulations of the leaves looked like waves and it made think of the song, Mr. Probz ~ Waves by Robin Schulz. I hope you enjoy my interpretation.

I also wanted to take a picture for my monthly New Braunfels Photographic Society Club meeting. This month’s theme is “Pattern.” I thought this one fit the bill quite nicely.

I was having so much fun playing with the cabbage outside that just before I tossed it over the fence into our empty lot, I posed said cabbage on the fence post for one last photo. I kinda enjoy incongruous images like this.
