Rotting

Another mushroom image from our wet and marshy spring. I love that one of the mushrooms is totally decomposed while another is just starting to rot. Perspectives like this fascinate me. Shooting through the grass, seeing these tiny mushrooms from a critter’s point of view, makes me appreciate the entire circle of life.

One of the features of the D750 that is useful is that the LCD screen tilts. Using live view and tilting the screen up, I can lay the camera down and not have to get on the ground… which is great for my bad knees. I actually cannot kneel at all on my artificial knee, so a shot like this would’ve required laying down prone with my old camera (which I have done many times!). It’s nice to not get muddy or be surprised by a spider lumbering by. 😉
