Artichoke Study: Pulchritudinous Petals

Fifth in my series of six of studying an artichoke in bloom, I was especially fascinated with the petals. Harvested before it blooms, the petals protect the edible heart of the artichoke. At this point, the petals were hard, spiky, and formidable… yet still beautiful.
