At The Photographer Within, we are chugging away at our book study project, called The Artist Within. Free to our members, our first book study is David duChemin‘s ebook, The Visual Toolbox. Recently we worked on purposefully throwing our lenses out of focus and creating a series of images that had a theme. I was especially taken with one member’s view of her city lights. I, of course, focused on nature. This was one of my favorite images… tomorrow, I’ll share my other favorite.
I used a little longer exposure and moved my camera in a circular motion while the shutter was open to hopefully get motion in the image. I defocused on the rosebush in my backyard. I call it Dizzy in Love.
