The Photographer Within’s Project 52 ~ A Year in Song has been an amazing journey to watch! Each week, our TPW members continue to inspire me with their artistry and creativity. Our lyrical prompt for Week 27 of The Photographer Within‘s P52 was from Firework by Katy Perry and the lyrics we had to shoot were: “Baby you’re a firework. Come on let your colors burst.“ I had such grand plans for this week… sigh. But alas, Anna became ill the evening of July 4th, so my long exposure fireworks image didn’t come to fruition. Instead, I was noodling over what I love to shoot and remembered that we had leftover sparklers from Jenny’s wedding… what would a macro of a sparkler look like? I had seen long exposure shots of sparklers but I have never seen a macro image of a sparkler before.
