Last week was a nice, normal, quiet, boring week. Hallelujah!!! I’m helping out in a photography class and was inspired to pick up my camera and shoot. Oh it feels so good to shoot and be happy with my images!!!
Day 317 ~ Boy’s Life
Dominic enjoys getting his Boy’s Life magazine in the mail. I liked the leading and diagonal lines in this image.
Day 317 ~ Watchful Relaxation
Ever on guard, Charlie rests while watching out back. He almost makes a Z-shape with his body.
Day 318 ~ The Frost Series
We woke up to a hard freeze in Austin and as soon as Dominic was off to choir practice at 7 a.m., I was outside before the sun was totally up taking photos with my macro lens. These were all taken on my deck, the first two on the railing and the other four with a frosty leaf that I found. I was also practicing composing with lines in mind.
Day 319 ~ Grocery Birds
We are in that time of year when the grackles gather at the grocery stores and strip malls. They are loud and their flock is large. A quick trip to HEB and a full moon added a surreal background for the birds.
Day 320 ~ Austin Metal & Iron
Roaming downtown, I was struck by the colors, lines, and drama of this image. I love how the flag is pointing to the left while the red arrows are pointing to the right.
Day 320 ~ Austin Pipe & Supply
I’ve taken photos near here before, but the graffiti has changed. Such a cool spot.
Day 320 ~ Medina Street
A bit of a lonely feeling there today.
Day 320 ~ Target is Everywhere
The title says it all.
Day 322 ~ Sunshine Nikon
Working on circles and centered composition, a quick self-portrait (then flipped) in my tiny sunshine mirror on the wall.
Thanks for looking! I hope this week yields as much inspiration and fun in shooting. If you have any favorites here, shout them out to me. I love hearing what captures you.
