The beginning of May means we have a whole new set of challenges at 9th & Bloom! If you are unfamiliar with our challenges, they are a fun and easy way to earn cash to the store. Every month, we offer 5 new challenges in our Challenge District. For each challenge you complete, you earn one point. Save 12 points to redeem for a $10 gift certificate to 9th & Bloom! The challenges include: Inspired Impressions, Template Fusion, Vintage Corner, Trendsetter, and Shutterbug. Trust me, these are fun, easy, and can really inspire you to push your creativity!

I love photography and I’m really excited to be offering new challenges to grow your photography skills each month. After all, scrapping is all about the photos! For the May Shutterbug Challenge, I want to see a photo of your pet (or of any animal if you don’t have a pet). Pets and animals have such a natural and wonderful connection to human beings that I want to celebrate the animals in our lives this month. Tell us about your pet, how long you’ve had him/her and what they mean to you. If you want to celebrate a pet that is no longer with you, please share his/her story. If you don’t have a pet, you can tell us about how you feel about animals and your connection to them. Perhaps you feed the ducks at a nearby pond, fondly watch the squirrels in the spring, or have a birdfeeder in your backyard. You don’t have to own a dog or cat! Your animal’s photo can then be used in a layout, so let’s go take (or share) a great photo this month!
I also participated in this month’s Trendsetter Challenge. Wendy is challenging us to scrap with our favorite colors this month. Mine are deep, dark red and chocolate! So I used This Moment from Creations by Rachael B to scrap this poignant memory with Jenny.
