i heart faces ~ a slice of life

This week’s challenge on i heart faces is called a slice of life where you capture a moment in your life that is all natural and not posed. I have so many photos of my kids this way but this one is extra special to me. I took it last fall when Anna (my sweet 9-year old with autism) was really struggling at school. Despite having lots of support and interventions, she has had some severe behavioral problems these first six weeks of school. Her team and I got together to brainstorm some motivational strategies and one of the rewards she earned was for me to join her at lunch on Friday if she had a better week last week. And she earned it! Here she is laughing because I was doing some funny voices… I do so love to watch her laugh!

Thanks for looking and go check out the other great entries at i heart faces!
